Default Dallas (TX) Area Restaurants?

The problem with the Addison/Beltline area is that it got so popular that
all the real restaurants got pushed out by the chains feederies.... there is
very little in the area that you can't find anywhere else, just that its all
located in one area is the draw now....

Some Ideas:

Sonny Bryans Barbecue - the original one is down on Harry Hines.... a must
see/eat kind of place

Herraras - greasy spoon Tex/Mex at its finest. Note: the hot sauce with the
chips can blow your head off if you don't have a quart of ice tea handy to
temper the effect until you build up some resistance.

Cafe Express - small chain restaurant, fantastic "big" salads... the
Addison/beltline location is convenient

Tin Star - sort or Texan fast food.... funky food combinations for tacos,
etc. Tollway/Park (or Parker?...memory not so good)...

Just some of my fave food stops in Dallas. Nothing fancy at all about these
places.... in fact.... two are somewhat divey and the other two are stand in
line to order.... but, all of them can get you some good food.

Whenever I go to Dallas, my friends always take me to Perry's.
