Oh Im sorry when I read the rules it did not mention that! Most people like
free samples and I figured since this was a cooking forum it would be
appreciated! Funny thing is I had mentioned in my RC forum and they were
delighted who would of thought a cooking forum would curse it!

Here are the rules they sent me
A few things to remember when posting a message.
1. You are posting to a public message board, the information you share
will be viewable by other across the internet.
2. Do not post personal identifying information unless you are certain
you want to.
3. Do not post personal identifying information of others.
4. Do not post tests, except in explicitly marked testing forums.
5. Do not repost the same message. It may take up to 10 minutes for a
post to propagate on our servers.
6. Your message may be visible on other sites to help you get responses
faster.
7. Posts will not be deleted and will be archived.
8. Not all of the posts and topics on our site were originated on our
site.
9. We are not responsible nor do we edit the posts on our site.
10. Respect copyright laws.
11. Have fun!

MODERATOR PLEASE DELETE THIS THREAD! I DID NOT RELIZE PEOPLE DID NOT WANT
TO SEE NEW ITEMS IN A PUBLIC FORUM. I READ THE RULES THERE WAS NO MENTION
OF IT.

I Apologize if this thread angered so many people that ws not my
intentions!

Read general rules for Usenet!

Unless it is a .marketplace or .forsale group, ads are NOT WELCOME and
you might get reported to your server for unsolicited SPAM. This goes
for ALL usenet groups!

Now, if you want to be a good little participating poster, and put a
link to your website in a signature, that is acceptable. But do NOT push
your website or for sale items in the body of your message!!!

Now learn the ropes and be a good boy!

BTW, this list is pretty much stuck on Penzey's... ;-)

Robi,

There IS no moderator!!!

If you want the thread deleted, you have to delete your OWN messages
using your newsreader software!

Definitely a newbie....... <grins>

He'll learn!

Let me see here. You want my name and complete physical address to send a
sample to? And you just happened to post this to RFC because it's a cooking
newsgroup?

I hope you have money. Postage is expensive.

Hey everybody! Attention please! Let us all respond to this guy's request
for a free sample. You can make up your own address and let him spend a
fortune on postage... AND I CAN'T BELIEVE I BEAT SHELDON TO IT!!!!!!!!!

I feel mean tonight!

Sorry Carol. Haven't seen it yet. Besides, doesn't PMS medication just
make men tired?

Well, Doc, I sent it on to Michael since he requested it. I guess we'll
have to wait and see what he says...

You're not the first to run afoul of those bloody "talkabout" forums.
They link to Usenet -- which is not the World Wide Web, from which
you're posting -- and don't bother to tell you how to deal with the
culture here. They'd save a lot of people a lot of grief, if they'd
give you a decent head's up.

Here at rec.food.cooking, the Usenet group to which you've posted,
there's a strict prohibition (generally self-policing) against
commercial and commercial-esque posts -- which you've now learned, to
your detriment. If you decide to stick around, and I hope you do,
it's generally accepted netiquette in most Usenet groups to put a link
to your site in your .sig line in an otherwise on-topic post.

Following are a few links which will help you learn more about Usenet,
what it is and isn't, and how to survive he

http://www.ibiblio.org/usenet-i/usenet-help.html
http://www.netmeister.org/news/learn2quote.html -- if you follow the
guidelines, I guarantee it will make your entire Usenet experience
much more pleasant.

Oh, and a link to rec.food.cooking's FAQ:
http://www.faqs.org/faqs/cooking/faq/

Good luck.
