I cannot seem to find a recipe anywhere. When I was a kid (in the
seventies) we used to buy it from the store. It is just like it sounds, fudgy, chocolatey cake, served frozen. I want my family to try it but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Anybody have a recipe? Thanks ni advance. |

For years I used to listen to an old guy flogging Carvelle Ice Cream Cakes
on an upstate New York radio station. They sounded really good. This chap has probably expired but I believe the cakes his company made would fill the bill. I have no idea if Carvelle Ice Cream Cakes are still sold in the U.S.A. F.J. |

Yes, he has passed on (1990), but the chain is still around. Don't know if it's just a Northeast thing. -- to respond (OT only), change "spamless.invalid" to "optonline.net" <http://www.thecoffeefaq.com/> |

I just saw one at the store last week (in Florida) and thought "wow, they're still in business!". |

There are Carvel stores in Phoenix as well. -- Wayne Boatwright ____________________________________________ Give me a smart idiot over a stupid genius any day. Sam Goldwyn, 1882-1974 |
