That is very sad news. I'm so sorry for his loss to friends and family.

This is a true story that I will yuk-yuk over forever.

While standing at the meat counter one day I noticed a lady agonizing
over packaged chicken parts. She had picked up a package of chicken
legs. So I asked her if she was looking for right legs or left legs.
She looked at me like I was kidding so I explained that when a
chicken roosts it tucks its head under a wing, stands on one leg and
sleeps. "So what does that mean?", she asked. I explained that the
leg the chicken stands on all night is over developed and muscular
and tends to be more tough. "How can you tell which is which?", she
asked. I shrugged and said the best thing to do would be to ask the
meat market man. /so she rang the bell and when he showed up I sort
of slunk off; would have given anything to listen in on the
conversation but didn't want to get involved.

I was wondering the other day if he was ill, since he hadn't posted in
some time. Hope he is at peace, and that St. Mavis is doing okay.

This is sad news. Moosemeat was part of the fabric of rfc. He will be

wondered about him.
I remember for a long time (well, it seemed long) he was having
trouble with his computer. I was hoping that the computer, or
possibly just loss of interest was the reason for his absence. Please
print out this entire thread and pass it on to the family just to let
them know of his extended family.

I might just have to boil up a rib or two in his honor (not a whole
rack, just a couple of ribs).

I remember one the first messages he posted to the newsgroup. He said
one of the legs on a baked chicken was more tender, either the left one
or the right one. I forget which one. That was in 1996 or 1997.

Not as uncommon as one would be led to believe.

Unless you are really prepared for it, seeing someone after open heart
surgery ain't like it is in the movies. Your first view of the person is
devastating.
