I heartily --- and wholeheartedly --- agree! One of my Samoyeds came to me
through a local Samoyed rescue organization. These are terrific people,
seriously concerned with the welfare of the dogs in their care.

Whether you go through a specific rescue organization or your local shelter,
look into adopting a dog before you buy a puppy. You may find just the
right match for your home.
