Put baking soda on fingers on one hand. Run water on the fingers of the
other hand. Rub both together. It will feel scratchy-sandy. Take your time, and give it all a good scrub taking care to rub around each finger. Rinse all. Your fingers will smell like baking soda for about an hour. They'll smell like fingers thereafter. Wash with soap and water normally when the half hour is up. --Lia |

If your skin doesn't like abrasiveness, I believe you could get the same effect by dissolving the baking soda in water and rubbing in that. Baking soda is the basic household hint for removing odors. It can be used on puppy mistakes on the carpet (though a product called Nature's Miracle is better), thrown in the washing machine when clothes smell funky, used to clean the refrigerator. Toss baking soda in any time something needs freshening up. I don't smoke, but I've heard of placing bowls of baking soda around the room where there will be smokers. It absorbs odor. --Lia |
