Years ago a friend of mine used to cook bbq baked beans and i swear
these things had jd in them and were very hot. However the " heat " or spice did not detract from the overall flavor. Any ideas of any recipes like that floating around? Cheers |

suggestions about what type of pepper or hot sauce would go with the sweet taste of baked beans? I dont think it was tabasco btw. |

I dont think it was tabasco btw. I don't know either... you're the one who ate them so you're the one who will need to experiment. I don't like my food so hot that all I taste is HOT, a tsp of red pepper flakes like go on pizza in like a 4qt potful will be fine for me... I don't ever want to become like those wimps whose hot pepper experience is more powerful than their orgasms. Sheldon |

I dont think it was tabasco btw. You could put a split habanero in with the beans for a while. It will get plenty hot. You might not want to leave it in for the whle cooking time. Ill try the split hab and the louisiana hot sauce too. I need to find
something that will complement the taste and be hot rather than dominate it. |
