Default Dinner Last Night

Google really is your friend! ;-) I did a nice med-rare sirloin
tip roast in my rotisserie on Friday, but wasn't sure what to do
with the leftovers (they usually sit in the fridge until someone
throws them out). So I googled "leftover roast beef" and got
the suggestion of BBQ Beef Sandwiches. There was 13 oz. of beef
left; DH sliced it thin, then I poured a cup of bottled bbq-syle
sauce over it and let it marinate until Monday. I cooked it on
the stove low and slow, served it over toasted hamburger buns.
Not exactly gourmet, but there was enough for all three of us,
and was pretty tasty...

Leftover roast beef is a problem ?

Sammiches
soup
beef and broc
any number of pasta dishes

Would it work for you to make food in smaller quantities to begin with?
Since we decided to only cook enough for the meal at hand, I estimate
we've saved hundreds of dollars because we never have spoiled food to
throw out.

All you need is a SHARP knife! You have no idea how your life will
change after you invest in a good knife that you keep razor sharp at
all times.

I used an industrial sized meat slicer as a teenager, working at
a burger joint. I found out it's not good to bleed on the roast
beef.

Barbara is right, I need to learn to use a sharp knife. When I have
a few bucks to rub together, I need to invest in something decent...

We used to have a meat slicer to make beef dip sandwiches. Sure came
in handy.
