That is very much a matter of personal taste!

Some people recommend you killfile Sheldon.

He is always a fun read, and sometimes he has some excellent recipes and
ideas as well!

Some of my personal favorites:

Melba's Jammin
this one
Shaun aRe
sf (wish she posted more but she is having computer problems!)
Sheldon
Wayne Boatwright
Damsel
notbob
Monsur Fromage
aem
zxcvbob
Dimitri
Dog3
Kili
AlleyGator (sometimes <lol>)
Peter Aitken

Pretty much others of the more prolific posters.....

There are also some newer folks that are fun as well.

Basically, I started sorting by subject and that has saved me a lot of
time. :-) It's a pretty active list and I'm on some other groups.

Welcome!!!!!

That is so VERY true!
I almost forgot sf because she's not been posting much!

But I communicate with her by private e-mail too.
She passes on some really great humor, and we have similar political
views..... ;-)

But I noted that I made nobody's lists..... <pout>

Prolly what I get for using 2 different id's when I forget to change the
ID settings...... ;-)

;-D

Trying to plan what to make for brunch tomorrow...
One of my experimental greenhouse 'mater vines has a BUNCH of sweet,
wonderful vine ripe fruit at the moment. It was planted last November.

I may blanch and peel them, and make a fresh salad with crab meat or
some such. ;-d

I like to eat them right off the vine personally!

I just wish I knew how to keep the skins from being tough.

Point taken. My DH, who participates in some of the more "technical"
NGs, was telling me that they have "moderators". So if the thread gets
too off the topic and becomes really abusive, they junk it before it
gets out there. I know people are going to remind me about freedom of
speech and all that, and tell me that I don't have to read it etc., but
I think, in some cases it's a good idea. Take Sheldon, if you must:
more often than not he comes up with great ideas and he really has a
sharp sense of humor. So I usually read his posts....and have to put up
with the consequences..

And I should be whomped upside the head for neglecting to include
Dimitri on my list. Not only do I enjoy his online posts, he's a prince
of a man IRL. To wit, yesterday we received a box of TJ Cioppino
simmering sauce from him! Addressed to Holy Mother Superior me. From
Man Cannot Live By Jam Alone Dimitri. The postman thought it was very
funny. I think it's tasteful. And tasty. :-0)

LOL! Every time I hear the caveat about "if you have an erection
lasting four hours or more, call your doctor" I picture all these guys
on their knees in prayer, saying, "Please, God! Me, me, me!"

I'm gonna split a hair here. These are all titles of popular subjects
that *keep coming up.* Each one doesn't necessarily get the number
of responses that the food snob thing did.

I believe (and most certainly am wrong) that for a critter to be considered
game, it has to be wild. Got any wild cows roaming around your back yard?

it to white, because Sheldon thought I was a racist.

So does mine - now don't blame me for that, Carol. BTW, strike that
out and reverse it - I had to change it from "otherwhitemeat" to
"otheryeller meat" so I wouldn't be accused of being racist. I have
actually, believe it or not, tasted gator meat and it's pretty darn
good. "Tastes like chicken" <G>. It's just a tad incredibly
expensive though, for my taste. I'm not really sure, since I don't
like to ask too many questions about what I'm eating <G> but I think
they cook the tail meat - it really is very good.

Crocs do seem a lot nastier than alligators, and 'gators are pretty nasty.
Maybe the crocs just need to see orthodontists.

They're all three reptiles. The frog and alligator are also amphibian,
some snakes are amphibian as well.

Sorry, different lingo, I guess. A small-holding is around the 10ha
mark. I think if it goes above that, they call it a "farm"....
But no kidding, we did have cows (or bulls to be exact in our back yard)
I have a pic somewhere... When we moved in, the fencing was not great,
so we had a new electric fence installed. While they were busy putting
it up, the bulls coudn't resist all the long grass on our side and just
pushed thru the fence (before it was electrified). Once the fence was up
and running, they became very wary of it. Who says cattle are stupid?
heh heh

Actually, the first place that comes to mind is the Disney "Willie

I only watched it because I had little kids then - what's your excuse?

Somebody told me the difference between alligators and crocs was that
alligators will kill you for food, while crocs will kill you for sport.

I only tried it on a dare - but gator was actually really good. It's
just way too expensive for something that tastes like a lot of other,
cheaper meat to me. I've never tried rattlesnake, though, and I hear
that's pretty good too.
