I am hosting a bridal shower in June, and I'm ready to bring the punch
bowl I got for Green Stamps in the 60's up from the basement! Does anyone have a not-too-alchoholic punch recipe they like? I don't want the guests TOO happy! Please let me know your suggestions. Fran |

It was a 2 liter bottle of 7-up (can be diet), a half gallon of OJ and add as much vodka as you want to ge tthem as drunk (or not) as you want. Put all this in the punch bowl then slide in a half-gallon of vanilla ice cream. It will dissolve on it's own and mix with the liquids creating almost a foamy top. It was soooo good - tasted like a creamsicle!! I found the recipe googling for a simple punch recipe and this was easy and went over very well! I don't think you can mess up too badly - I was at a halloween party where they kept improvising Spooky Punch with different sherberts, boozes, sodas and juices and everything they did tasted good! |

We use this punch for holidays, it can be made with or without alcohol.
1 (48 ounce) bottle cran-raspberry juice 1 (12 ounce) can frozen pineapple/orangejuice concentrate or just use pineapple, thawed 1 (1 liter) gingerale, chilled 1 (750) ml bottle champange, chilled Mix the fruit juices and refrigerate until ready to serve. Just before service, in a large punch bowl add the gingerale and champange. I always make a fruit juice ice ring to keep the punch cold and the juice ice ring doesn't dilute the punch. Here is another one that is good: 1 (46 ounce) can unsweet pineapple juice 1 (46 ounce) can apricot nectar 3 (6 ounce) cans frozen lemonade, thawed 40 ounces gingerale, chilled 1 bottle champange, chilled Combine first three ingredients and chill until ready to serve. Just before serving, add gingerale and champange. Or one mo Bahama Mama's 2 quarts orange juice 1 quart pineapple juice 2-3 cans guava nectar (the small ones) 2-3 cans papaya juice (the small cans) 2-3 cans mango juice (the small ones) White coconut rum to taste A few splashes of grenadine for a little color Mix all and refrigerate until ready to serve. The small cans of tropical juices are sold in the Mexican section of the grocery store. Jan |

Did not see the original post, but this "Christmas Punch" is really just an elegant, mildly alcoholic punch: @@@@@ Now You're Cooking! Export Format Christmas Punch beverages 1 6 oz. can lemon juice, frozen; undiluted 1 6 oz. can frozen orange juice concentrate; uncooked, unpeeled 1 cup sugar 1/4 cup angostura bitters 3 egg white; optional 1 3/4 qt. daiquiri cocktail; chilled 1 1 pt., 12 oz club soda; chilled 1 4/5 qt. champagne; chilled 1 tray ice cubes In a bowl, combine concentrate, sugar and bitters. When juices are thawed, stir until they are well blended and sugar is dissolved. Refrigerate until mixture is well chilled - several hours or overnight. Just before serving, beat egg whites until stiff. In punch bowl, combine fruit juice mixture, daiquiri cocktail and club soda. With wire whisk, gently whip in egg whites. Add ice cubes. Pour champagne into punch at table. Yield: 24 servings Terry "Squeaks" Pulliam Burd AAC(F)BV66.0748.CA "If the soup had been as hot as the claret, if the claret had been as old as the bird, and if the bird's breasts had been as full as the waitress's, it would have been a very good dinner." -- Duncan Hines To reply, replace "spaminator" with "cox" |
