Thanks...Sharon Ain't the only way but it's the *best* way... in a large fry pan... fried in butter, with six eggs surrounding. Serves two, or me. And I don't want to hear about any fercocktah grits or stinkin' red eye gravy. Hash browns, okay. Sheldon |

Though an ordinary Crepinette made with pork sausage and brandy is quite good. --- Joseph Littleshoes |

Hash browns are much better. *NOT* home-fries, either. Real Hash browns. BOB |

Thanks...Sharon Shoot, I just put it in a saute pan, and when I flip it, I put on the old brown sugar and pineapple slices. Don't forget, you're just heating it through. nancy |

Thanks...Sharon I've got one for tonight. it is fresh ham (not smoked or cured) and my plan is to rub it with adobo seasoning and grill. -- Peter Aitken Visit my recipe and kitchen myths page at www.pgacon.com/cooking.htm |

Yeah, but... you pay a big premium per-pound for "Ham steak" (like triple), and then to dice em up is just stupid. You can buy a whole butt half for the price of just two steaks, same brand, same quality... it'll give you four thick steaks and plenty to cut into chunks for soups, salad, omelets, etc... plus the bone for a pot of beans. Though i never turn down a breaded porc chop i rarely make them for myself any more. I could live on "chicken fried steak" but restrict myself to once or twice a month. --- JL |
