Default Green eggs and ham

Breakfast frittata of onions, ham, and dill.
Stuffed....think it's time to read some Dr. Seuss and take a nap.

Did you ever see the Saturday Night Live episode in which Jesse Jackson
reads "Green Eggs & Ham", with the vocal affections of an X-treme southern
preacher? Funny as hell.......

No, I didn't, but I've got the audio going in my head, now, and you're
right!
Praise the Lord, and pass me a copperhead!

He did it four days after Dr. Seuss's death as a tribute on the Weekend
Update segment:

Kevin Nealon: Theodore Geisel, known to his loyal readers as Dr. Suess,
died this week at age 87. Like many of us, I grew up with Dr. Suess, and
one of my favorite stories is "Green Eggs and Ham". Here to read from this
classic, is the Rev. Jesse Jackson. Reverand?

Jesse Jackson: Tonight, rather than read from First and Second Samuel, I
read from Sam I Am, according to the latter day saint Suess.

"You do not like green eggs and ham?
I do not like them, Sam-I-am.
I do not like green eggs and ham.

I could not, would not, on a boat.
I will not, will not, with a goat.
I will not eat them in the rain.
I will not eat them on a train.
Not in the dark! Not in a tree!
Not in a car! You let me be!

I do not like them in a box.
I do not like them with a fox.
I will not eat them in a house.
I do not like them with a mouse.
I do not like them here or there.
I do not like them ANYWHERE!
I do not like green eggs and ham!
I do not like them, Sam-I-am.

You do not like them.
So you say.
Try them! Try them!
And you may.
Try them and you may, I say.

Sam!
If you will let me be, I will try them.
You will see.

Say!
I like green eggs and ham!
I do! I like them, Sam-I-am!
And I would eat them in a boat.
And I would eat them with a goat...

I do so like
green eggs and ham!
Thank you!
Thank you,
Sam-I-am!"

My lunch omelet was bright orange, not green. One of my students gave
me a dozen eggs from her mother's backyard chickens. The yolks were
things of beauty, chock full of carotenoids.

Been a while but I remember those "free range" eggs. :-)
Lots of color....lots of flavor.
And then there were the double-yolked eggs...."Grandmom" used to tell me
the rooster layed those!

Scrambled eggs with pesto, and a chunk of ham steak on the side.

Invigorated for work!

We get jumbo organic eggs at a local grocer ($0.89/doz - amazing!) and
many times they have double yolks. First time I saw them, I about
jumped out of my skin because I wasn't sure if I was seeing double or
what (I am partially visually impaired).
