Default Custard Cake with blueberries, the verdict

It's good, but not as good as the original-although blueberry fiend SO is in
love with it! Really, I did like it, the rest won't go to waste, but the
rhubarb adds such a nice contrast to the sweet custard, that I think I'll
not mess with success anymore. Also, if colors put you off, the custard was
a rather unique shade of purple<G> Oh, the blueberries I put on top, per
the recipe, didn't sink, so if you try it, sprinkle them in before adding
the cake mix, and then pour the sugar and cream on top.

There you go; I figured it would be too sweet - or too boring, take your
pick. Lynne, consider a combination of blues and rhubarb -- I've made
Blueberry-Rhubarb Jam.

(It's not too early to shop -- good chocolate and cheap gin.
Or is it cheap chocolate and good gin? I never
remember. No jam--coal to Newcastle and all that. "-)
