I decided that I had to follow the recipe to the letter, so I bought a cake
mix this morning, went 25 miles to get rhubarb as my local store didn't have any and my Mum and Dad have eaten all theirs! It's been in the nineties all day, but has cooled to about 85 now so I couldn't wait any longer. It seems really wierd just putting the rhubarb and sugar on the top and then pouring on the cream but like I said I just have to try it. I'm glad I used a bought cake mix because it was a LOT thinner than my usual cake batter, and I think I might have had a disaster! Anyway it's now in the oven and I'll let you know what the result is. (There may be some differences in UK and US ingredients) Fingers crossed Sarah |

I don't think the cream has sunk to the bottom ![]() I'll keep it cooking until the cake isn't gooey! Sarah |

The good news is it tastes delicious, and I now feel sick from eating half of it! Next time I'll either use two mixes or make my own now I know what consistency it needs to be. I will not be beaten, and will try again when I've finished eating this one ![]() Sarah |

Bet it tastes good anyways. -- It's not a question of where he grips it! It's a simple question of weight ratios! A five ounce bird could not carry a one pound coconut. Are you suggesting coconuts migrate? |
