When I wrote my response I was thinking that I wouldn't mind tasting one
again, but just one. Maybe just a half, as I recall a Welch's Fudge Bar came
two pieces to a package.

Are Ice Cubes really gone? I used to get them at a local deli, but I
haven't seen them in about a year. I loved them in college; the
bookstore sold them.

I think they're known as Icy Squares in Canada. Made by Moritz, the same
type of chocolate is also sold in little foil cups and known as, surprise!,
Icy Cups (about the size of a Hershey's Kiss). Had some of each at
Christmas.

Just one piece... lusciously rich chocolate fudge bar with a dark chocolate
coating... perhaps you remember two because that's how many bars you ate at a
sitting, that's how many anyone could eat at one time and still live.

I saw them at a gas station recently.

"Moritz" sounds familiar. The milk chocolate ones were wrapped in
silver foil, the coffee flavor were in a light gold foil. I'll have to
look at the counters when I go into convenience stores.

Nothing like strolling down candy memory lane. I do remember Big
Hunk's, Charleston Chews, Mallow Cups.

What I remember are Razzle Dazzle's, also I remember another cube candy
called Chunky. Nothing like candy bars from the 70's that have not
survived since.

Mallow Cups are still manufactured. I live in the town of Altoona, PA where
they're made! However, I really am not a fan of these candies, my finding
them a bit too sticky!

Wow, you have a good memory! Al, the kiddies' pal (and now Suzanne
Somers'), & Michelle Finney. Replaced a few years later by Trudy Young and
Ray Bellew. I loved that show & watched it every day. Never heard of the
candy bar.
