I have tended to stay away from light beers because they taste so wimpy. I
may have found an exception - Samuel Adams Light. It's by far the best light beer I have tried. -- Peter Aitken Visit my recipe and kitchen myths page at www.pgacon.com/cooking.htm |

If you are moderating your intake of something because of Calories, alcohol, whatever, you're allowed to get the good stuff. The SO and I aren't heavy drinkers. We'd rather pay $7 for a six-pack of good beer than $4 for a skanky six-pack. We use a similar philosophy for chocolate. A small piece of good chocolate goes farther to satisfy us than a cheap chocolate bar. Cindy -- C.J. Fuller Delete the obvious to email me |

We sort of moderate calories and carbs, but, we go for quantity rather than quality. Occasionally we take the hour drive to the import beer store and get individual delicious, caloric, strong, beverages, yet we still always have our cheap beer on hand. I'm not saying cheap light beer tastes good, but at least with light beer, if you drink throughout the day, it's less calories and you don't get drunk. kili <---------- who is not ashamed to be drinking a Miller Lite right now. |

Virtually all American beers are light, but many are also lite, as in lite light. Sheldon |

Sheldon spaketh thusly:

"Lite" is a registered trademark of The Miller Brewing Co, USA, for their low calorie, lower carbohydrate brand of beer.
