Default Light beer

I have tended to stay away from light beers because they taste so wimpy. I
may have found an exception - Samuel Adams Light. It's by far the best light
beer I have tried.

It is, Peter, I agree, but it's a little pricey!

Look at it this way. If you are moderating your intake of something
because of Calories, alcohol, whatever, you're allowed to get the good
stuff. The SO and I aren't heavy drinkers. We'd rather pay $7 for a
six-pack of good beer than $4 for a skanky six-pack. We use a similar
philosophy for chocolate. A small piece of good chocolate goes farther
to satisfy us than a cheap chocolate bar.

That makes sense, Cindy, but I *am* a drinker and so is my hubby. We sort
of moderate calories and carbs, but, we go for quantity rather than quality.
Occasionally we take the hour drive to the import beer store and get
individual delicious, caloric, strong, beverages, yet we still always have
our cheap beer on hand. I'm not saying cheap light beer tastes good, but at
least with light beer, if you drink throughout the day, it's less calories
and you don't get drunk.

Depends if yoose mean light or lite.

Virtually all American beers are light, but many are also lite, as in
lite light.

"Lite" is a registered trademark of The Miller Brewing Co, USA,
for their low calorie, lower carbohydrate brand of beer. Thank
you very much for understanding that you're full of shit <g>.

Ok, we aren't beer drinkers but I use it for cooking. Sleeman's Light
actually is one of the best beers for making pizza dough. If you want
the recipe, I can post it but trust me, it is really, really good stuff!!!!
