Meadows' Southern Ambrosia 2 grapefruit, preferably 1 white 1 cup
strawberry halves or 1/2 cup and 1 red Maraschino cherry halves 2 bananas 1 apple, chopped 6 navel oranges 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts 1/2 cup coconut Section citrus fruit. Peel and slice apple into small chunks. Add immediately to citrus sections to prevent darkening. Peel and slice bananas. Add all ingredients together in a large bowl. Toss gently until well blended. Chill before serving; at least 4 hours or overnight is best to blend the flavors. Note: a little sugar can be added if desired, although the grapefruit are usually sweet enough without added sugar. http://www.xgno.com |

Oranges, coconut, sugar, and a few flecks of maraschino cherries. That's it! -- Wayne Boatwright *¿* ____________________________________________ Give me a smart idiot over a stupid genius any day. I say it doesn't belong in Southern ambrosia, but it makes a fine addition to "fruit salad". -- Wayne Boatwright Õ¿Õ¬ ____________________________________________ Give me a smart idiot over a stupid genius any day.
