Bed, Bath, and Beyond just opened a new
store in our area. They had a grand opening sale. They had 8-, 12-, amd 16-qt. stockpots on sale for $14.99 with a $5 mail-in rebate. I've been using a cheap old enamel-coated canning pot for large batches of things like vegetable soup or Brunswick stew which always end up being much more than my Dutch oven will hold. The enamel has chipped off on the inside on the bottom. So, I decided to get a new one. These are not some fancy brand - the brand is Invitations - never heard of it. But they seem pretty sturdy. Carbon steel with a black non-stick interior and exterior coating. I got the 16-qt. I can't wait to use it. Hmmm? . . . What shall I make first? Kate -- Kate Connally “If I were as old as I feel, I’d be dead already.” Goldfish: “The wholesome snack that smiles back, Until you bite their heads off.” What if the hokey pokey really *is* what it's all about? |
