Hey, are you by any chance the spammer who touted this lame site a few
days ago? Only now you've mended your ways and warned us that copy/paste
operations don't work too well there.

Perhaps its killfile time?

BTW, I looked at the "recipe" and didn't like it though I found it, uh,
amusing. Makes 100 servings of 6 oz. each. Wow! Perhaps I should invite
some friends over for stir fry soup.

Regards,
Dave W.

OT: Living in the Ozarks, which is exactly what I dream of returning
to after all these years. The best years of my life were spent living
about 20-some miles north of Springfield off of highway 13. I
daydream of it constantly. You're very lucky.

WARNING: stay away from Eureka Springs. Lovely tourist town, if you like
being a tourist. Sucks to live there.

Hmmm.... been going there for over 30 years. Did you live there? I have
a few good friends that live and work in town, mostly artsy-craftsy
ex-hippies. I don't like the tourist scene too much myself. There have
been a few good restaurants. Many have come and gone. Bubba's remains
.... its a pretty good BBQ joint. Of course, as Jill would know, its no
match for Memphis. Interstate BBQ. Wow!

Used to be some interesting antique shops, but I've gotten away from the
antique thing.

You are right, its a very lovely town. But I think its the tourists that
would make me reluctant to live there.

My adopted home, Fayetteville, is a great place to live. But its growing
at an alarming rate.

Dave W.

I never lived there but I know some folks who do. One owns a B&B right in
town so naturally she's happy with the tourists My LLL has been living
about 20 miles outside of Eureka in the country for nearly 24 years and
avoids the town whenever possible, going so far as to drive to Fayetteville
or up into Missouri to shop. I gather there is an annual gathering of
Harley enthusiasts who literally take over the town. Great if you're a bike
enthusiast but even if so still noisy and annoying. He really can't wait to
get the hell out of there but doesn't know where he wants to go.

There are (I'm told) the women in town who take the whole "Victorian" thing
a tad too far, dressing every day as if they were from that era. Okay, I
like playing dress-up (shaddup, Sheldon!) as much as the next gal who is
fascinated by the past, but you won't find me putting on a corset (or even a
bra - shaddup, Sheldon) every single day. How silly!

And of course you have the "Passion Play" enthusiasts... we won't go there.

I wasn't aware of Eureka's Harley extravaganza, but there certainly is
one here in Fayetteville ... impressive and noisy. They shut down one of
the main drags, Dickson Street and most intersecting streets for parking
the thousands of bikes. A lot of beer, a lot of (OB food) BBQ, and a lot
of noise. Its just for a weekend and it is rather fun.

I'd rather deal with the motorcycle enthusiasts.
