* Tilapia, either sesame-crusted, or just marinated in soy and ginger
* Sushi rice balls (bet you didn't know sushi rice *had* balls), rolled in sesame and seaweed unless the fish is sesame-crusted, otherwise plain * cucumber salad with rice vinegar and sugar for the dressing We came home to a message from the guest, saying she's bringing greek yogurt and honey for dessert, so that'll be an interesting addition. serene |

(Too bad I don't have one of those nifty laser thermometers like Alton Brown!) I'm *sure* I could get it hot enough to cook an egg, but I wonder if I can get it hot enough to make shabu-shabu. Bob |

LOL! I do know that whole eggs, if left outside all day in direct sun on a dark background, will end up "hard boiled". Don't ask how I know! :-) Shabu-shabu? Probably not. Too much temperature drop in the broth as bits of food are added. :-) -- Wayne Boatwright *¿* ____________________________________________ Give me a smart idiot over a stupid genius any day. (That's one reason I mentioned cast iron in particular; the temperature drop shouldn't be all that great because of the pan's ability to retain heat.) It really doesn't take much to cook the shabu-shabu meat all the way through. I'll try it and report my results. Bob |

Had the fish just marinated, and the balls in sesame/seaweed. > > > Chicken taco salad > Watermelon chunks Mmm, watermelon. We should have some at our next barbecue. serene |

It's seaweed, seasonings and sesame, I think sesame. It's also good on popcorn. kili |
