Default Weekly grocery budget: 42 cents

Thanks to the heat (highs around 90F are hot for the Twin Cities), my
appetite diminished. And the relative cool spell didn't bring it back
all the way. For example, I've been eating one egg instead of two most
of the time.

And I had a good deal of food on hand.

I would've spent more if I wasn't broke, of course.

Note: Meeting someone in a restaurant did mean spending more money
than that. I had hot tea. (The restaurant was Dulono's Pizza. As
might be obvious from the name, it's best known in the Twin Cities as a
place for bluegrass music.)

LOL. I haven't been to Dulono's in years -- last saw Adam Somebody
there - guitarist.

When are you going to be not broke? Do you still have food on hand or
do you need to visit a foodshelf for vittles? Is your room air
conditioned? Gonna be hotter'n blazes today - and I should can
pickles!! Take care.

Not _this_ broke: End of the month. Not broke: Not sure. Certain of
not being broke: Not sure.

Still have stored food; and I picked up Fare For All food today. (Good
thing I had my cart, because it was raining when I started back home --
hard enough to disintegrate the grocery bags. And I was going less than
a block.)

No, but I have a fan collection.

Thanks to the rainstorm, it got cool for part of the day.

Y'know, 99% of that mess missed us. I felt fortunate.

I wish the humidity would drop.
Take care.

I haven't been doing much cooking either these days because of the
heat. Just sandwiches, which is fine. The effect is also on my
appetite and motivation to cook, rather than it being too hot to do
so.

I hope your financial downturn is temporary.

Thanks! I have a bit too much month left at the end of my money.
Things are going to be dicey for a while, though -- till I get another
source of income.
