I can be the token haggis eater -- I liked the stuff the one and only
time I had it! I'll take the lima beans and beets too, hold the
liver. Er. You know what I mean.

Liver can be made palatable (see chopped liver or liver & onions) and
limas have an appeal to folks who like to play with their food.

Beets, by me, are only good for acid/base experiments (look mommy, a
blue beet!)

You damn liver with faint praise! A couple months ago I made Thomas
Keller's recipe for liver with a wine jus, stewed figs, bacon, and onions.
Accompanied with scalloped potatoes and steamed haricots verts, it was
sublime.

Palatable, perhaps. But sublime?

Maybe we can get the members of Led Zepplin to do a "Senior Concert" and
play it (not on the accordian!) Would you like to be in charge of the
lasagna?

Jill (who will also take a kitten and a glass of chardonnay... heck, bring
me the bottle!)

Just as some places have 'dedicated smoking areas' can we have a 'dedicated
liver area'? I want to make sure I'm as FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE!! I can
tolerate a little liverwurst with Mayo & yellow mustard but that's as close
as I can get to the "L" stuff.

Yeah, and this area should include chicken livers as an entree, too!

Oh, good! You can take on the imposible task of teaching me how to
knit again. Someone tried last fall, and for the life of me, I
couldn't get it any more.

Do you liver haters eschew foie gras as well? Silly, silly people!

Now personally, I would like to see a mustard-free zone in the RFCOFH.
Can't even tolerate the sight of the stuff!

I would love to teach you! I have taught almost all the women and
girls at our church, plus one priest and his son and Rich how to knit.
I love enabling people.
