Default Drunken Chip Cookies

Many of you know that other than 'biscotti', I don't *do* cookies. I'll eat
them, on a rare occasion but rarely ever make them. Well, the other day I
decided it was Rarelyday... Here's my concoction that has gone over very
well with friends and coworkers:

Drunken Chip Cookies

Cream together:
1 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
3 TSBP Praline Liquor

Stir in:
3 cups flour
1 cup Ghiardelli chocolate chips
1 cup Nestle Peanut Butter & Chocolate chips mix
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt

Roll up into balls (I use a TBSP as a scoop) and place onto baking/cooking
sheets. Bake @ 350 ° for approximately 14 minutes. Wait at least 3
minutes, for cookies to cool before eating, to avoid burning your mouth!

No eggs? No baking soda or baking powder?

Yeah, same here! I love cookie dough, but always remember my
mother telling me not to eat it, or I'd get "worms"... :-P

You are most welcome. BTW 6 y/o Nathan LOVES the cookie dough possibly even
more than when they're baked.

Arrgghhh! That's terrible. Every kid should get to indulge in that... I
hope you enjoy these. No worms, I promise!

I'm going to save your recipe and make these with Buddy (DS) when
the weather cools off. He loves cookie dough -- I'll let you know
it goes... :-)

I hate to ask....but wouldn't the raw dough be a little too alcoholic
for the kiddos? maybe that's what they love about it......

Not with only 3 Tablespoons of it in the whole batch. YMMV but I don't have
any problems 'serving' a couple of pinches/bites of cookie dough to my son
with that small of an amount. Please remember that there is also 2 cups of
chips, 3 cups of flour, 1 1/2 cups of 2 types of sugar and a cup of butter.
Nope, 3 Tablespoons of a liquor shouldn't be a problem for most children
(mine is 6). I suppose if one had a very young toddler and/or had a child
of which it's relatives (or self?) was alcohol-sensitive... <shrug> I'm
willing to bet a sip of beer/wine/etc. would have more effects than what
could be derived out of a few bits of dough and/or a few cookies.

Woo-hoo! I hope he enjoys it!

Nathan will be pleased to hear that there is another "Buddy" out there.
It's one of his nick-names, too. In fact, when I started my newest job, one
of the fellows I work with thought that Nathan's name *was* Buddy; I
apparently call him that more than I realized. <G>
