Truthfylly, I can see how some people might not like this kind of post.
Didn't stop me from bidding on an item though :-) Good luck, you've given
me a great idea how to clean out my stash too!

I don't do ebay so I have to ask... who pays for the packing materials
and cost of shipping? Those prices look like they wouldn't begin to
cover it.

I've never seen an eBay auction where the buyer didn't pay for shipping.
And as for the prices, they go up as the bids increase unless there is a
"buy it now!" price set.

Some auctions are set up as the seller will pay shipping costs. Those
are rather rare IME. I recently bought a gadget where the shipping
costs to the buyer (me) was paid by the seller.

Obfood: spices and other goodies are available on ebay. Has anyone
here had experience buying these types of things through ebay?

I probably will get rid of some. One or two. One. Maybe :-) No
seriously, I need to take a good hard look and decide what to keep. If I
decide to get rid of many of them, I just may have a cook-in and see that
rfc cooks get the first crack at em. Having said that, I just got 4 new
cookbooks in the last month. Does this really sound like someone who's
intent upon paring down her collection???!!! :->

I can't get rid of any... I go into withdrawal even thinking about
it. I carry about 250 around with me on my travels..and I just bought
some more myself.
Now I have to decide which ones to leave back in the cabin in
Idyllwild..

Another cook-in? When????? I need a bit of notice, as I have to plan
my schedule way in advance...have to have it written into my contracts
for time off...

I'll offer shipping to Canada to the Chosen Few. Just mention that you're
from RFC.

This is why you haven't seen me around much lately. I've been working my
tail off trying to avert a financial crisis. Bid early and bid often.

Okay, make that, I'll ship worldwide for RFCers. Just don't expect
shipping totals immediately.

I know what you mean.... I let my husband take old and unused
cookbooks off the shelf (he has to do it because I can't) and restrain
myself - until I take them out of the trashcan.

I'm not in your shoes right now, Carol... but I do know what it means

Where will you be moving to? Is it far from where you are now?

P.S. I'll take money orders from RFC people, too. I know a few people

That's a good deal of PS 2 games.

Have you thought about Trading them in at Game Stop or The Electronics boutique?

We traded in a whole lot of used games and got nearly nothing for them.
They don't accept new games. What's up with that? Depending on how well
this batch sells, Crash may be putting up a bunch more.

Anyone need brand new PlayStation 2 games? These are great deals.

We also have a lot of Andrea by Sadek porcelain critters.

I don't know for sure. If the price is good enough just rip off the shrink. I
can guess why they don't take new games. Pilferage.

Also if it's turned in by a consumer I don't think that can sell it as new.

Tammy was calling attention to your spelling: The correct spelling is BATED
breath. "Bated" means "halted," i.e., you were holding your breath. The way
YOU spelled it implies that you either had brine shrimp or worms on your
breath.

But there's really no accounting for taste... :-)

Aha! I knew I was walking into a night crawler shop when I posted that,
but I didn't realize that there was a spelling difference. Ya l live and
ya learn.

(BTW, "bitch" is an affectionate term used in this context - think early
Saturday Night Live - I know you're old enough to remember)

Wow! You're the first American I ever knew who knows about lake effect snow
storms! And we've been through quite a few.

If we have our way, there'll be no more snow period!
