It's extra virgin olive oil. Sorry, I don't know specifically
what someone meant by 'seeds oil' ...

Ah. Without crumbs - why not. But without frying - much less taste
IMO.

And without crumbs to form a crispy coating that contrasts with the sauce
and cheese, it has lost all appeal for me.

Dee,

The good and the bad on this cheese is that it is not very salty.
However, for me that's a good thing, for others, they want their salt.

It'll be wine - I 'm not a good pastry cook (to go with the tea), and
there is very good wine here...

IMO: the crumbs a soggy mess after they've been sitting in tomato
sauce baking. A bread coating is fine if someone else makes it, but I
absolutely hate to fry and am hypercritical of the food if I have to
do it.

I don't like them soggy either, Barb, but if it's properly and deftly
prepared, and served in a timely manner, the crumb coating is still crispy.
If not, in either case, I'd rather do without.

Hey! <elbowing Tammy aside> I didn't say I wouldn't eat them! I
just said I don't like to fry things (the smell of hot oil gets to
me).

I really thought this must be a thread about some kind of
parmesian cheese. I just got it when I saw Kate B's post.

mealnzane = eggplant, or as my ex's family from Italy
pronounced it ... moolinyan.

I will have to retrace the thread and make that for
myself, I haven't had that in *ages* ... yum.
