Can you remove mine please so I can adjust it? It's actually across
the river in a completely different province.

Thanks. Obviously there are still a few bugs to fix as I now have two
icons on the map...you can remove either one. Thanks.

Oops, I put mine in the wrong spot too, before realising I could zoom in.
That'll teach me to read the whole thread before acting Could you
(Christine) please delete Amarantha from Australia? and I'll go find my

I found out that in a lot of other countries, you can't really zoom in
as far, sadly to say. But you should be able to get closer than you
were. That will give us an idea of where you are.

Oh, so you're in a "little" one. Heck, Ranger pushed me outta my
area - so you're not alone. The map needs to be able to layer, but
until people donate I don't think it'll meed our need of placing
multiples in the same area.

When you figure how to delete yourself let me know... I didn't zoom in
so I ended up north and west of where I live (trying to avoid Ranger).

Yep, that's what heat index means. That's also what wind chill factor means
when it comes to cold temps, as well.

Go back to the map.

Have you been reading the various map threads? I gave directions in
those

If not, do this:

Using your left mouse button, move the map,so California is in the
center. THen start zooming in. Center the map again, so the SF area
is in the center...then zoom some more. Continue with this centering,
and zooming, til you get down to your street level.

And one thing I just discovered, which works with a lot of the maps,
if you get down to street level..you can switch to the satellite view,
and pick out your own house/residence. THEN, and only then, do you
mark the spot with whatever icon you choose.

The satellite view doesn't work with all..but it works with most up to
s point, so you can get closer in.

Have fun!

I will delete your icon that is in the ocean...LOL, and you can remark
yourself.

It works just fine for multiples, but you have to zoom in.. Then the
multiples separate...

Unless everyone is stacked up on the same address that's not possible. You
must need to expand the map.

Put yourself in the right place ASAP. After I got to the post where

Where do you find that extension? This is the first time I've heard
of it. It would be a lot simpler to just be able to access the right
click menu and go to IE from there.

I just looked a short time ago and it was still "click", but I wanted
to just hover and see names... what happens when icons overlap and how
would you know there's more than one person in a specific urban area
if you're in the default view? Just wondering.

I changed it back to the click thingie, cause it was easier to zoom in
on a person that way. If you all want me to change it back to showing
names when you pass over them, I will.

No I was out today and didn't go online until way after dinner - only
to find that RANGER took my spot. LOL! I kept reading after I put
myself in the wrong place. I corrected it (thanks for deleting the
duplicate), but whaen I switched over to the satellite map... DANG - I
was off by one house. Move me one house West, if you can or delete me
if that's too much trouble and I'll re-enter myself via the Hybrid map
tomorrow.

TIA!

PS: Thank you so much for doing this... I made a wish and
