Jill, in your reply I saw the word fridge and mis-read it as fudge--and now
that I think about it, I'm not too sure there isn't a recipe for fudge using
squash. Anyway, it's bugging me. Does anyone know if such a recipe exists?

I have eaten pumpkin fudge. Pumpkin is a squash.

OK, I don't feel like running and looking it up and my brain is still
asleep...but... isn't it butternut squash that can be used in place of
pumpkin in recipes with similar results?

Most winter squash can be substituted, but butternut is probably the best
choice as to texture and color.
