The fund will benefit hospitality employees who are without work in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. * To make a donation, visit www.ghcf.org or send your donation to: * New Orleans Hospitality Workers Disaster Relief Fund C/O Brennan’s of Houston 3300 Smith Street Houston, TX 77006 With the loss of so many jobs, several organizations have established job banks for restaurant workers displaced by the hurricane. If you have positions available, please post them on one of the following sites: * http://www.restaurant.org/katrina/jobboard.cfm the National Restaurant Association’s Web site allows you to post a free jobs listing for hospitality-industry employees displaced by Hurricane Katrina. * http://www.womenchefs.org/index.cfm the Women Chefs and Restaurateurs offers a job bank for restaurant industry workers in support of Hurricane Katrina relief efforts * http://www.cirajobs.com/ the Council of Independent Restaurants of America is working to find jobs for displaced restaurant employees, transportation to those chapter cities, and housing once they get there. There are numerous organizations active in the areas hardest hit by Katrina, all of whom need help through donations and volunteers.
