How about some on topic controversy instead of some stupid political ****ing
match?
I've never had foie gras but definitely will. I wanted to learn a little
more about it so I typed "foie gras" into google and clicked "I'm feeling
lucky." The Humane Society website pops up and they ain't exactly pro foie
gras. Should we be able to force feed geese and harvest their organs, or
just kill and eat them the normal way?

Looks like the stuff is going to completely illegal in CA. San Francisco
without foie gras ...unbelievable.

Raised on a farm, I will say geese are incredibly stupid and gluttonous
and will happily eat till they burst without being force fed. They will
gobble to a happy demise. Hellping it along is no grave sin. Eat,
enjoy.....billfrogg

I can see it all now. A gang of armed cops wearing wind breakers with FDA
painted in huge yellow letters breaks into a SF eatery, orders everyone onto
the floor face down, kicks a few people in the teeth as an example and then
sends specially trained agents into the walk-in fridge to extract the foie
gras. A startled chef is ordered to "drop that spatula hairbag and back
away from the stove HANDS IN THE AIR!!" A few diners caught with the
illicit substance are cuffed, leg-ironed and hooded, then whisked off to
Gitmo for some "pre-interrogation softening up."

And then it get's worse. Imagine having to explain to the big hairy guy
in the cell next to you that you're in on a foie gras rap.

Seems like it ends up pretty much the same for the goose
either way, so what does it matter?
