Default Salsa Verde Pics

I made salsa verde yesterday. I think it looks very pretty in the jars.
Don't let the pale green colour fool you. This salsa has plenty of
zip to it!

Tomatoes - Here's yesterday's harvest. The larger pinky red tomato is a
brandywine. The smaller round red tomato below the brandywine is an
unknown variety that just popped up. There must have been a couple of
tomato seeds in the compost and one grew so I left it. I picked several
green romas to make salsa verde but also because our first frost date is
looming close. The tomatoes aren't ripening as fast with the cooler
overnight temps. I also have a problem with a tree rat that likes to
munch on the smaller green tomatoes The green leafy stuff is mint.

Salsa verde in jars - I ended up with 7 - 250 ml jars. It will make a
pretty addition to my canning rack.
