Default Mish-mache

Last night we went out to a local eatery with our neighbors. I ordered
roast chicken, which came with a side order of mache (peppery baby
greens). Never again! The taste of the mache overwhelmed everything
else on the plate. In addition, I nearly choked on one of the greens
because the leaves were left attached to the stem. Had they mixed the
mache with other greens, it might have worked better.

Probably should have ordered the lamb shank and parsnips. The sweet
potato chowder was good, though.

Oh, Wow!
Lamb shanks and parsnips - two of my favorite foods.
My ex MIL used to make braised lamb shanks with lots of celery and a
little curry and top them with fluffy dumplings with golden raisins.
Drool . . .
