Here's a pic of mudpies cooling on the counter. Recipe follows.
http://tinypic.com/e7i1sj.jpg Mudpies 1/2 c milk 1/2 c margarine or butter 6 tbsp cocoa 2 c white sugar - Mix these ingredients in large saucepan. Bring to a rolling boil. Boil 1 minute then remove from heat. Stir in - 3 c oatmeal 1 c shredded coconut - Drop by spoonful onto wax paper. Allow to cool on counter until firm. |

There are several types of rolled oats available: Old Fashioned (5 minute cooking time), Quick (1 minute cooking time) and instant. I find that either the 5 minute or 1 minute type can be used interchangeably in most cookie recipes and recipes similar to the above without a problem. |
