I thought it came across as a simple request nothing more. Perhaps these fry pans exist where the OP lives and are not readily available elsewhere. Google while good doesn't have references to everything. I'm looking for a set of dishes to complete an 8 piece setting. I won the first so need the second. I've searched Google high and low yet nothing. I just need to know where to buy them in Canada. I know they were bought recently so should be available somewhere. I don't mind helping others with this type of thing either. |

Thank you ~patches~ for the moral support. The nice thing about a news
reader is you can list messages by sender, date sent, subject etc etc. Whenever I get a reply that I consider harsh or rude, like Hank's was, the first thing I do is list all messages by sender. This groups all the messages by that sender in one place and I can see what the general tone of their replies usually is. So, when I get one of these put-down type messages directed at me, I usually respond in kind. In sharp contrast to Hanks rely, I see that your replies are civil, helpful and a pleasure to read. Its people like you that make these newsgroups so valuable. Thanks again. rq "~patches~" > wrote in message ... > Andy wrote: > >> rq wrote: >> >> >>>Has anyone heard of Swiss Diamond brand of stove top frying pans. Lagostina makes nice stainless steel pots & pans and non-stick fry pans. The non-stick fry pans have a cephalon coating. I have two of them. They are heavy and quite durable. I have Lagostina stainless steel pots that I really like. I have one copper wrapped insert bottom fry pan that is good but I bought it at a liquidation place so there is no name on it. I can post a pic of it if you would like. My favourite fry pan is cast iron for things like frittatas. As far as pots and pans go I prefer stainless steel. I would highly recommend Jasi or Mirro for aluminum pressure cookers or canners and Fagor for stainless steel pressure cookers. We bought DD the Wolfgang Puck pots & pans last year for Christmas. They are stainless steel and she loves them. Someone else here also likes the WP I just can't remember who right now. We bought DS a non-stick name I can't remember set that were equally as expensive as the WP. He loves them. What I would recommend is staying away from pots or pans that don't have that bottome wrapped inner core as the single layer stainless steel burns a lot easier. My stock pots are like this ![]() experience of the pans you are seeking. |

I often ask for help that may be available online for the simple reason that my computer denies access to many websites. It gives me an error message that makes me exit my browser and sometimes have to shut down totally and restart. I've had several people tell me fixes that I have tried to no avail. Since I can't afford to get a new computer, I count on some of you here. This help is appreciated very much. I know "Google is my friend" but sometimes it doesn't work for me. Sharon |

Sharon I ask for help too. I'm on dial-up after being used to high speed but hs is not available here yet. Until just a couple of weeks ago anytime I was online the phone line was tied up. Once those Bell workers got off strike and started catching up I finally got a second line. There must still be problems as my modem will suddenly boot me offline. I really appreciate it when someone can point me in the right direction. Google is great but for some of us it is difficult to get the answers from it when we need it. It's very frustrating not to be able to get a simple answer when needed IMO. |

Sharon Sharon, have you considered reformatting the computer? There isn't any reason to buy a new one when it sounds like you got some weird bug in your current one or your Windows Registry is corrupted. Reformatting would mean wiping the drive clean and restoring it back to factory settings. If you bought the machine new from a major manufacturer, there should be some system restore disks that came with your system. You just have to back-up your important information to CD or something and then wipe it clean. It runs so much faster when you do this, too! kili |

There is software available that will make repairs automatically, like Clean My PC Registry and PCMightyMax... a whole lot better than wiping a hard drive... like whaddaya gonna do, ripe your hard drive for every little glitch... you'll be wiping your disc more than your crotch. I can't afford to pay someone to do it and I'm too computer challenged to do it myself. I'm hoping by next summer to be able to get a new one. We're on dial up too and that doesn't help. No chance of inprovement there because of where we live. Thanks for the good thoughts.....Sharon |
