I remember one such comic where there was a similar line in the first panel. The next panel showed mom's response by dumping the entire grocery bag over dunderhead's pointed cranium. The Ranger |

Where my partner builds a bookcase while I'm on a date with my other partner (even though his back has been bothering him) so I'll have a place to put my cookbooks when I get home. Where another partner writes a poem about me at a spoken-word thing I run, and then reads it in public even though she's never done a thing like that in her life. Where one of them remembers on my birthday that months earlier some of my old cassettes broke, and gives me the exact ones on CD. Where I'm walking along the street with my love and he says he pities the people in the world who don't get such perfect moments in their lives. And the perfect moment is just our being together. Where sometimes she will be staring at me and when I ask why, she'll just say "You're just so beautiful." There are big romantic things like popcorn in the mail (if you know me, you understand how big that is), a vase full of perfect sunflowers, and a photo of me and my love presented to us by our love, who is a photographer. There are little romantic things, like fixing my comfort food when I'm down, or remembering that I need to take my iron pill and bringing it to me. And there are silly romantic things, like when I say, "I smell like sex now," and he answers, "Baby, sex smells like *you*." Romance is alive and well around here, and I wish it for you all. serene |
