I have just cooked a stew, but there is tonnes left so I want to let my
flatmates have it when they return from holiday tomorrow (in 24 hours time). I also want it to be ready-to-eat when they get home. I am wondering what the best procedure is. Should I put it in the slow cooker now, and keep it warm until they return, or should I cool it in the fridge now, and then blast it in the microwave tomorrow before putting it in the slow cooker to keep hot? Many thanks in advance. |

Thanks for the response. The trouble is, I won't be at home 3 hours
before they arrive, I leave the house 8 hours before they get back and then I'm out all day. So should I put it on low for those 8 hours, and if so, is that straight from the fridge? |
