For years I have been drinking Brown Gold Decaf and have found it to
be the best tasting AND reasonably priced decaf coffee around. In recent months it has started tasting muddy to me. I tried my wife's Brown Gold regular caffeine coffee and found it to be of MUCH higher quality. So I'm looking to make a change. I brew my coffee with an electric filter coffee maker, if that makes a difference. Any suggestions? And thanks in advance! |

Good coffee (decaf or natural) is just that - good coffee! Adding Yuppy flavour is just a way to market an inferior product for yet more dollars. As to machines that are advertised to make good coffee - forgettaboutaboutit. They don't exist. For more information go to alt.coffee If you are even slightly interested in good coffee that is ![]() Ken. |

I thought it was much better (richer) than a cup of brewed coffee that you could add the chocolate to it yourself (and cinnamon?). As far as Ghiradelli using inferior coffee beans for their chocolate-infused coffee beans, they didn't taste inferior to me. Yuppy flavor? I looked up the definition of yuppy: this is the first one I found: Definition yuppie, yuppy noun [C] DISAPPROVING a young person who lives in a city, earns a lot of money and spends it doing fashionable things and buying expensive possessions Curious, do you like Starbucks beans? If not their beans, their roasting? P.S. Yes, I've wandered in an out of the coffee ng. Thanks. Dee Dee |

I'm normally not a Starbucks fan, but I've found their decaf is very good. One of those happenstance things -- I was at my mother's for Thanksgiving last year and she invited some neighbors in for coffee and dessert. She wanted just enough decaf to make one pot of coffee, since she didn't think she'd use any leftovers. The only decaf her local grocery had in the "buy as much as you want" bins was Starbucks. It tasted like regular coffee. This year I'll buy enough to make 2 pots -- people wanted a second cup and we didn't have any ground coffee left. Anny |
