Standard freezer meals in my family specific to the holidays are soup and bread, hamuburger BBQ, chili, and stuffed peppers. Soup/bread from the freezer is our traditional Christmas Eve dinner (along with shrimp cocktail that comes from my grandmother's grocery store - would be unacceptable quality on any other day, but tradition makes up for taste). Hamburger BBQ gets put back in the crockpot on the day that relatives come to visit/see the tree. And of course Christmas dinner is planned with an eye to insuring frozen leftovers of filling, turkey, sweet potatoes, etc. for NYE, NYD, and beyond. Chili and stuffed peppers are great freezer meals any day. |

Spaghetti sauce. Turkey cheeks. Cooked beef stew meat, frozen in it's broth. I wouldn't freeze it with the vegetables, though. What about brisket, sliced and frozen with broth.
