Holy cow! I just read your other post. What brought all that on? To
the untrained eye, you have lost your mind.

I'll keep the kettle corn on stand-by for now.

I'm a bit surprised too -- I must have missed something (not the
first time). Lets get some of those lawn chairs that Andy suggested.
Oh, and I fixed my sig -- thanks for the heads up, Sis... ;-)

Nope no losing my mind but is *ass* is mine AND I will guarantee I will
be the winner! Bring on your best shelly girl. I'm givin' you a little
time to play them back into the playpen. Amd while you are at it I
would mind a cup of hot coca spiked of course with just a touch of
Baily's Irish Cream You do know they make alcohol in other forms than
beer don't you shelly ?

Keep it hot as this should get good and *please* put a pot of extra
buttered on for me. I like kettle corn but the butter will do it in
anytime. I hear tell shelly is going to enjoy his popcorn with freshly
diced weiners - not sure where I heard this but his lovely wife isn't
too please with him at the moment. She posts here as well and really
doesn't like the attention shelly draws

Now don't do that. I've never cooked bug eyes before but I would think
either scrambled or boiled. I'm just not sure what sauce to use.

I'm still in a state of disbelief. But I'll dig out the bag of
popcorn, just in case. BTW, my money's on Sheldon.

No, no, it's just an affectionate moniker -- she reminds me a lot of
my actual sister...

Wow! Cool! Thank you!

If someone here reminded me of my actual sister, I'd killfile them.

Carol, reminding all that you can't pick your family. Dammit.

Shelly is one of these posters you can just make fun of, right shelly
Now I have imagined him roasted, proiled, bbg'ed, fricassied (sp),
stewed, and a few other way. For the life of me I'm not sure whether to
waste good balsamic vinegarar or wine or dry sherry on his sorry ass to

In addition to being incoherent, you've now taken to responding
to your own posts. My guess is you're either blind drunk or on
the upswing of a manic depression cycle. Maybe both. Either
way, it just might be time for a nap.

Thank goodness Sheldon has people like you in this newsgroup who stand
up to the vile, undeserved attacks against him. If it weren't for his
supporters, he might fall into a depression at all the vicious things
people say about him with absolutely no provocation.

Carol,
I had to just crack up when I read that line! I had lunch with a good friend
today and we had a long discussion along similar lines, so it was really a
matter of such perfect timing!

Thanks for the laugh, Toots.

He's outlasted all the others, hasn't he? Sadly enough, since he
thrives on this, and most people don't, they eventually give up.

This sort of problem has been discussed locally, without resolution:

If a husband and wife move from Tasmania to Queensland and
subsequently get divorced, are they still brother and sister?

Ob Recipe, stolen from :
<http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Hills/1760/snowcake.html>

<quoting>
Snow or Brides Cake [1859 version]

A pound each of flour and sugar, half a pound of butter, and the
whites of sixteen eggs, beaten to a stiff froth. Flavor it with rose
water.

Rose Water

Rosewater is water in which the petals of roses have been steeped. It
has a gentle fragrance and taste that is very elegant in delecate
pastries. You can make your own:

1 cup fresh rose petals
1/2 c water
Bring water to a boil. Pour over rose petals. Let steep for 15 min.
Drain off of rose petals, and store in the dark. (It freezes just
fine.) Christine A. Owens Rose Water Recipe

Rose Butter (a good subsitute for rose water)

Gather every morning the *leaves of the roses that blossomed the day
before, and put them in a stone jar in alternet layers with fine salt.
After all the leaves are gathered, put a saucer or small plate into
the jar, and lay in a good pound of butter, for cake or pudding
sauce. It is a very good way of obtaining the flavor of roses, without
the expense. *( I do believe they mean rose pedals. Common sense
demands the use of only healthy, spray free pedals)

Frosting

A pound of the best white sugar, the whites of three fresh eggs, a
teaspoon of nice starch, pounded, and sifted through a piece of muslin
or a very fine sieve, the juice of half a lemon and a few drops of the
essence.

Beat the whites to a stiff froth, then add them to the sugar, and stir
it steadily until it will stay where you put it. It will take nearly
*two hours, maybe more. Dredge a little flour over the cake, and brush
it off with a feather. This is to prevent the frosting from being
discolored by the butter contained in the cake. Lay it on smoothly
with a knife, and return the cake to the oven for twelve to fifteen
minutes. *(Electric beaters would have been greatly appreciated in
making this frosting)

All but Rose Water Recipe From "THE YOUNG HOUSEKEEPER'S FRIEND" 1859
</quoting>

I assume a "rose pedal" is a "rose petal" -- or is "pedal" some sort
of technical term used by rose enthusiasts?

Cheers, Phred.

Not until someone can tell me if that "rose pedal" = "rose petal".

Absolute bullshit... were it that simple rosewater would cost a buck a
gallon.

Rosewater is produced by a *distillation* process, NOT by infusion.

rose water
A distillation of rose petals that has the intensely perfumy flavor and
fragrance of its source. Rose water has been a popular flavoring for
centuries in the cuisines of the Middle East, India and China. In
addition to culinary uses, rose water is also used in religious
ceremonies and as a fragrance in some cosmetics.

Yeah. That site I quoted the recipe "Snow or Brides Cake" from,
namely, <http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Hills/1760/snowcake.html>
was a bit lax about other details too. But then, I didn't expect
anyone to take it seriously given the original context. :-)
Sorry to trouble you, Shels, me old mate. Nice of you to offer some
editorial comment.
