I just know what it may mean to someone, to taste something again that is normally not available. A few years ago, my daughter, knowing that I had wanted to eat a few fresh hazelnuts, planted a few trees. The first ones died, the ones she planted to replace them, have produced nuts the past year and this one. She sent me most of them and I offered them to Alan S, from whom I did not hear. If you want a few, get in touch with me via email. ![]() |

I hope that you can find that kind in the market. Now is the best time for hazelnuts. |

The ones I bought last week have a very sweet and nutty flavor. I've put them in sealed containers in the freezer until I bake, which will be the weekend after Halloween. I bought hazelnuts, native Arizona pecans, English walnuts, and California almonds, all for baking. -- Wayne Boatwright *¿* _____________________________ http://tinypic.com/eikz78.jpg Meet Mr. Bailey |
