Mary's and some sort of hot soup are are suggested

Mary Shelley: The Birth of Frankenstein

Exploring how the novelist's personal life impacted in her most famous work,
"Frankenstein," and why her ideas still resonate so clearly nearly 200 years
after its publication. Featured: reenactments at locations influenced the
author's life and work.

If it doesn't include the part about the opium,
it's a whitewash.

I don't get the show at all, so the point is moot

Too bad... it was an interesting show. I already knew the book came about
as a challenge when she and Percy were in Geneva with Lord Byron as to who
could write the best "ghost" story. I did not know she was only age 19 at
the time. Goodness, if she'd been 20 she'd have been an old maid!

OB Food: I wonder what they ate for dinner? I'm picturing roasted
pheasant.

You should all expereince spending midnight at Halloween up on the top of
the Abbey mound in Whitby on a seat by the graveyard - unforgettable and I
was only 11 (62 years ago!!) - the war was raging and the blackout prevailed
everywhere. Changed my undies when I got home - honest !
