This is a great, healthy snack for people like me who avoid white sugar
and hate chocolate. Unlike chocolate, carob does not result in a adverse reaction for me. Snicker-snackers Instant healthy treats and no baking. # 1/2 cup sunflower seeds # 1/2 cup sesame seeds # 1/3 -1/2 cup honey # 1/2 cup nut butter (cashew, peanut, etc - I use fresh made) # 1/2 cup unsweetened carob powder # 1/4 cup wheat germ or oat bran # 1/4 cup unsweetened coconut Add the ingredients one at a time to food processor. Blend until the mixture forms a ball. Pinch off small amounts and form into bite-sized balls. Roll balls in extra sesame seeds or coconut if desired. Store in an airtight container and refrigerate. |
