Default looking for toaster oven

Hi; Newbi here! Since it is just Hubby and I. We are looking into
getting a toaster oven and using that to cook like say...a chicken in
it. Seems a shame and an extra expenses to heat up a regular size oven
to cook just a small roast. Looking for suggestions on what is the
best toaster ovens out there. Pros and Cons. Thanks in advance.

Pros - I can't think of any myself but I'm sure others will offer their
suggestions.

Cons - Most of my daily cooking is for DH and myself. Whenever I have
the oven on, there would *never* be just one thing in it with the
exception of turkey. For example, if I'm roasting chicken for dinner
chances are very good a beef roast is also roasting for the week's
sandwiches and potatoes are baking for dinner and there might even be a
pie baking. Therefore I would have little use for another appliance
that takes up space on my already limited countertop. It would be one
more appliance to have to clean. To me, a toaster oven does not look
big enough to cook a roast or whole chicken.

Tuesday Morning has Cuisinart toaster ovens for $80, starting yesterday
morning. My store had about four. No idea if they're any good.

That's what I was going to say . . .if I turn on the oven, the meat,
potatoes, vegetable and dessert are all in there. When you're done and
turned the oven off, you leave the oven door open to heat the kitchen. Mom
taught me good. ;o}

I've got a Cuisinart toaster oven. I'm happy with it, and I use it
frequently. But I don't think I'd try to roast a chicken in it. That's
what the Ronco Rotisserie is for!

I have a DeLonghi toaster oven that was my only oven for 4 or 5 years. It
works very well. Now I use it mostly for broiling. I have since purchased a
Sharp Micro-Convection oven. I use the micro-convection for all my baking.
It holds more than the toaster oven and cooks very evenly. I haven't had a
regular oven for at least 15 years.
