The pit's smoking. The birds are done brining. The guests are due in
a couple of hours. Life is good.

That sounds so good!

That Green Jello recipe looks like it might be the one that
Terwilliger is looking for.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Our smoker's smokin' as well, hickory and lump, the bird's been injected
with garlic, butter and honey. The garlic is roasted for the mashed
potatoes and I'm cooking onion and celery for the cornbread stuffing. All
that's left is the bird and the cornbread itself. Hubby got the wrong thing
when he went to the store this morning, so he had to go back for the real
deal - cornbread mix, not cornbread "stuffing" mix. Only wish we had some
whisky to help celebrate the day.

My sister's here making deviled eggs. Looks like the birds are done,
but I haven't stabbed them with the meat thermometer yet. I'm going
to put the leg of lamb on the gas grill soon. We've got wine, beer,
sodas and even whiskey, should the mood strike.

I can see for miles and miles up here on top of the food chain.
