Default Turkey Day - I'm done

Whew, the turkey wasn't stuffed, but I am! Lunch was
artichoke dip on slices of bread, so I was really full after
that. Further challenging the law of how much can you
fit in one person's stomach, I snacked on Whoppers in the
intervening hours. (Whoppers are chocolate covered malted
milk balls) Piggie.

After making the dip, my kitchen duties were done, Ron made
the dinner. He's in his element, he does not like help when he
is doing the cooking. Okay by me. Turkey with sauerkraut
(yes, sauerkraut), stuffing with sausage, mushrooms, apple ...
couldn't find or taste the apple ... homemade cranberry sauce,
brussels sprouts with lemon, candied yams, apple cider. I'm
missing stuff. No mashed potatoes, don't ask me what he was
thinking, I said nothing! (smile) He did a great job, I picked the
carcass of a lot of meat and saved the carcass for soup makin's.

Pumpkin pie (yes, left out overnight) for dessert, sometime in the
very distant future.

Hope everyone's turkey day went well, too.

That's one candy I cannot pass up! They come in big milk-carton like
containers and I swear I could eat an entire carton if you put it in front
of me! It's not the chocolate, it's the malted milk balls! I love those
malted "eggs" at easter time, too.

Hey, we had that happen once with apples in the stuffing, too!

No mashed potatoes here, either. We didn't miss 'em.

Yum! I guess we should make some soup...though I much prefer turkey soup
when the turkey has been smoked.
