But there are a number of other reasons for fasting, and people of many cultures have been doing it for millennia. It's pretty easy to gather info about fasting, not quite so easy to separate the sensible from the not. Those who are interested might google on "the master cleanse" and "yoga fasting" for some diverse sources. "fasting and health" brings up some weird stuff.... -aem |
