When that movie came out, I had a friend who worked at the theater, and she could get us in to see movies for $.50. I saw that one probably a dozen times, and even though I haven't seen it in years, I can still quote two thirds of the movie (and annoy my husband half to death in the process). I've never come across salmon mousse in my travels, but I don't think I could eat it -- I'd be laughing too hard! Chris |

I adore Olives and Mushrooms, but have only recently learned to appreciate COOKED onions. Still detest them raw..... Not overly fond of beets either and will only eat carrots cooked. I find milk chocolate to be unsatisfying, and on the rare occasion that I buy a bar of it I will eat the whole thing and then not feel very good. When I am near the German deli I stop in and get a large bar or two of the darkest chocolate I can find. Sometimes it sits around unopened for a week or two, and when I do open it I break off a square or too and leave the rest, sometimes not having any more for a week or two. One bar lasted me more than a month. |

I just don't like cranberries. Maybe you had a moldy one at one time that left that impression. Raspberries have to be picked over very carefully because they are highly subject to mold. I usually find they get moldy before they rot. It is a potent and pervasive taste, but IMO raspberries have no taste of their own that is even close to mold. Cranberry is potent stuff. I can't imagine having turkey without some cranberry sauce, and not the canned crap. I used to drink a lot of cranberry cocktail. It is great for the kidneys and bladder. I actually developed a taste for the pure juice. It took a while to get used to it, but I like it ... in small doses. |

I don't even like to cook with it. :-( And I've tried tried tried different beers and ales as I figured such a popular drink had to have something going for it, all to no avail. One was in the dining room of a camp where I worked one summer and the other was served by my friends mother. In both cases it was served in a gravy sort of sauce. White is much easier to digest. The doctor, way back in, um, what, 1989 or so?, told me the things I'm NOT supposed to digest. Here's the list: herbs spices garlic/onions raw veggies whole grains anything acidic (including vinegar - but GOD I love it!) chocolate dairy coffee grease alcohol (like that's gonna happen? I think NOT!) Things he suggested? Fish chicken cooked veggies He said I could control the colitis with diet or I'd have to go on drugs forever. Well, I'm trying to control it with diet. Since I've had this problem for the past 25 years, I may say I don't *like* a lot of things, but what it amounts to, is I can't *eat* a lot of things. It's funny, because I CAN'T eat most things, I'm just fascinated with food. I love to read recipes and such. On the plus side, because I can't eat most things, at least I'm not gaining weight! My husband wonders how I live at all..... I'll go days sometimes without eating sometimes. :~) On the downside, colitis makes working difficult, makes eating at parties difficult and I stress about it. Oh well, whatcha gonna do, right? kili |

Immediately remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely. Frost with Chocolate Frosting. CHOCOLATE FROSTING: Melt chocolate and butter in 2-quart saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally; remove from heat. Stir in powdered sugar and hot water until smooth and spreadable. (If frosting is too thick, add more water. If frosting is too thin, add more powdered sugar.) Description: "This very old-fashioned cookie is a time-tested classic. It bakes up into a tender, cake-like cookie adorned with an incredibly fudgy chocolate frosting."
