Hi,
does anyone have an idea how to use unground coconut in food? It doesn't become soft in cooking. floe |

Perhaps as a bowl for a dip or a container for a liquid beverage. As if that beverages weren't liquids... Personally I like my coconut shredded. Or used to make coconut milk/cream. |

I just think there might be a way to use it this way. Of course I know that shredded coconut is a delicious ingredient to curry plates; it mellows the spiciness and increases the other tastes. But the pure, hard coconut, either fried or whatever, - I have so far found no use for it, and still I think someone out there might know something. fkoe |

Try this: Combine coconut chunks, Brazil nut chunks, jícama chunks, salt, sour orange juice, powdered chile of your choice (depending on your tolerance for capsaicin), and cilantro. Use it to dress fish tacos or as a simple relish for broiled fish. Bob |
