I'm doing a little holiday baking today. Here's what I decided on -
herbed spritz crackers, cheddar cheese spritz crackers, gingerbread
cookies, shortbread cookies, and scotch teas. On the holiday candy I'm
making fudge, ryley's toffee, and crystal cut candy. I'm planning to
use the crackers with sundried tomato dip, a variety of cheeses and
kabassa sausage as an afternoon snack tray along with a veggie tray.
The candy is destined for gift giving. It will likely take me a couple
of days to get everything made.

I don't know where you get all your energy! How much of that did you
get done today? (BTW, your dinner sounds scrumptious!)

As of now, all of the above are finished I was on a roll Monday so
got quite a bit finished. The trick is making one dough while the other
is cooking aided by a 3 rack convection oven Candymaking is not time
consuming at all so it goes quickly. Dinner was really nice. The
venison came out perfect. I marinaded the venison then seasoned and
wrapped in bacon. The end result was a nice moist, melt in your mouth
venison. The wine sauce went over well so I'll definitely roast the
venison that way again.

This sounds very good! Our neighbors sometimes gift us with venison,
and I haven't quite acquired a taste for it. I don't dislike it, I
just don't love it, ya know? The bacon sounds like a wonderful way to
keep it moist and to add flavor.

Thanks!
