Spatula: Ny;on or silicone?
What's the best type of spatula to use with a non-stick skillet?
I have what I believe is a nylon spatula from Calpalon, but stuff sticks to it and is not always easy to get off. Would I be better if with a silicone spatula? Any recommended models/brands? -- http://www.standards.com/; See Howard Kaikow's web site. |

Silicone. I bought some very inexpensive ones at WalMart, both flat spatula and spoonula styles, that are heat proof up to 450 degrees F. Nothing sticks to them. Some of highest priced ones are heat proof up to 650-700 degrees, but I think this is overkill for most home use. -- Wayne Boatwright *¿* __________________________________________________ ________________ And if we enter a room full of manure, may we believe in the pony. |

Spatula: Ny;on or silicone?
The spatula you have is good and you can always use a cooking spray on
it before using it , that will help make cleanup easier for you. |

Either one. I opt for what's cheapest. |

Turns out what I was looking for seems to be called a "turner". I found an Oneida Silicone Sold Turner at Kohl's. Hard to find at www.pricegrabber.com. Oneida does not even seem to list such utensils at www.oneida.com. |
