Nanny nanny boo boo. I still don't believe you are an Italian who can't
speak or write English well. I know a lot of people from other countries
who don't pretend to not understand basic priciples of the Latin language.
Heh, Latin is what Italian is based upon, and so is English. I worked for
years with people from India who wouldn't write sentences such as yours,
meaning, displaying ignorance of their second language.

Show me all the photos you want to. I can get the same images and recipes
from La Cucina. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't mind you sharing recipes.
I just hate the way you mangle the English language pretending to be you're
in Italy when suddenly, oh! You're back HOME? in the United States. Uh
huh.

Invece io è la prima volta che sento un Americano che non sa dire una
parola in Italiano.

Fai attenzione
all'influenza dei polli! Copriti bene!

Vediamo se adesso sai rispondermi in Italiano.

I know for sure she (as in Pandora) is in Italy, We send one another
things between Italy and Germany. She speaks very little English
because there is no one to speak with. She mainly uses the written
word. How many Languages do you speak or write??

By the way the recipes from La Cucina are not real Italian, they are
made by some 4 generation Italian with a New York accent

By the way people of India know more of the real english languace than
most Americans.. SO THERE!!!

Why don't you GROW UP!!

Writing in Italian doesn't impress me. The workers down at the corner store
are from Ethiopia (that's in Africa) and they say things in English better
than you do here. Stop pretending you don't understand the language.
English is based on Latin, as is Italian. You merely make yourself appear
illiterate. This might have been okay if we had Usenet back in the 1920's
with an influx of immigrants, but it's not okay now. Just be yourself.
Ophelia thought you lived in Italy; so did a lot of other posters to this
ng. Now suddenly you live in the U.S.

You know, I really don't give a rats ass where you live. I know a lot of
people from other countries (Mexico, India) who don't come across as being
as illiterate as you make yourself out to be. So I'm not the bad person
here. You are doing yourself a disfavour by putting yourself out there in
this light. I'd much rather think you are an educated (even self-educated)
person who relocated to the U.S.A. for some reason.

It was my understanding that she was talking figuratively about
"living" in the Italian food newsgroup (and that is why she didn't
post here) and coming back to rfc, not that she was living here.

Cosa hai detto? perchè non mi rispondi in Italiano? Ignorante!

So I'm not the bad person

Loose translation: Perhaps you're the sister of Sheldon and it doesn't
surprise me that you have the brains of a chicken.

Obviously incorrect. To give Sheldon that much credit, I mean.

No, seriously...

I must say this whole thing astonishes me. Jill has been a very
different person than the one who has contributed with so much good will
and good cheer. Her misunderstanding of Pandora's messages just doesn't
square with her usual clarity of thought.

That's enough people. You were very happy with Pandora till you
suspected she did not live in Italy after all. Wherever she lives --
and Chuck and Nancy suggest her email has been misinterpreted and she
really does live in Italy -- accept her postings as another food
enthusiast. You are too quick to over-react.

Pandora, I enjoy your postings. I enjoy your photos. Keep posting.

The problem came when you said you were back in the US after a time
with Italy ng friends. People took that to mean you travelled to Italy
and had then returned physically to the US. They felt you had mislead
them when we thought you lived all the time in Italy. I think people,
myself included, wondered if you were mocking (laughing at) us. That's
why people are over-reacting. You made things worse when you didn't
respond to people's questions about whether you did live in the US.

I don't care where you live. Keep posting.

That photos of the spaghetti looks delicious, except I hate tinned
tuna. Is that what you used?

Indeed - that is precisely how I read her message - she had been on an
Italian NG, and now was back on RFC - 'home' as she termed it, which I found
really rather sweet.
